ABOUT LEILA

Leila is a harpist with over 14 years of experience. She was selected to be the harpist in the National Youth Orchestra of the United States (NYO2) in 2018 and 2019, and she was also the principal harp of New York Youth Symphony (NYYS) and the principal and concert harp of Norwalk Youth Symphony (NYS). Leila has been featured on NPR’s "From the Top" show for her playing,

Leila has studied with Hudson Valley Philharmonic and Broadway's Wicked principal harp Frances Duffy as well as New York Philharmonic principal harp and Juilliard professor Nancy Allen.

At Princeton, Leila played in the Princeton University Orchestra all 4 years, participated in chamber ensembles, and performed solo works with orchestra such as Ginastera Harp Concerto and Debussy Dances. She is now pursuing a PhD in Electrical Engineering at MIT.
